About Us
Highway Corporate Services (Pty) Limited (“Highway”) was started by Jenny Lupton in 1997 as a part-time interest and has evolved into a company that offers outsourced company secretarial services to listed and unlisted companies. Highway is run by a team of trained professionals with many years of experience between them. That experience includes taking companies to a listing and the preparation of prospectuses for both listed and unlisted companies for both shares and debentures. Where our listed clients are concerned, we act as Company Secretary on an outsourced basis and work as a team with the directors of the company, the sponsors or designated advisers and auditors.
We also have extensive experience in the formation and conversion of all types of companies and maintain the statutory secretarial records of a number of companies.
We believe that the service we offer is unique in the Province and our professional services are particularly suited to companies listed on the Alternative Exchange of JSE Limited (“AltX) who may not wish to incur the expense of employing a fully qualified Company Secretary. Our services are also suited to private companies of all sizes who are ready to embrace good corporate governance practices to raise their companies to a new level of professionalism and need guidance on how to go about it.
We are passionate about promoting the role of the Company Secretary and spreading greater awareness of the importance to a company of having its statutory records up-to-date and accurate. We provide hands-on work experience for students of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries who aspire to become Company Secretaries. We are also happy to provide training for companies and accounting practices that provide such statutory secretarial services and wish to upgrade the level of expertise of their employees.
While we are based in Hillcrest in KwaZulu-Natal, we have provided services to people and companies as far afield as Australia and the Netherlands, as well as the rest of South Africa.
